INVITATION TO ROSKILDE SHORT TERM CAMP 2026
Two weeks in July plus the two adjoining weekends with family stay – details to be announced.
2 WEEKS IN JULY YOU´LL NEVER FORGET!
More than 2500 years of history of Roskilde is synonymous with the history of Denmark, dating back to the iron age through the age of the Vikings, up to modern time Denmark. The participants in this camp will experience a trip through history, how the Vikings lived, how they explored the world, how the Kings up through the middle ages resided in fashionable castles, and how Danish society has evolved into the modern democracy it is today.
PERIOD:
18 – 19. July – arrival weekend with family stay
20 – 31. July – camp period with events
01 – 02. August – departure weekend with family stay
PARTICIPANTS:
A total of 9 boys and 9 girls, maximum 1 girl and 1 boy from the same country, in the age of 16 to 18 years old. All English speaking.
ARRIVAL:
Upon your arrival by air or train, a Rotarian will meet you in the airport / at the station.
BASE CAMP:
You will be located at The Bjarke Group Scout Camp in Roskilde when not attending outdoor activities. You will be sleeping in bunk beds in a room for 9 boys and a room for 9 girls. Remember to bring your sleeping bag
CAMP RULES:
You shall accept the Rotary rules for youth exchange. Moreover you arrange for and pay your travel costs to and from Denmark yourself, as well as insurance and pocket money.
CAMP FEE: 300 €
